The Yap Runs With Monstrous Sheep

Happy Hump Day! Miss me? I missed you! Though, happily, not all of you, because I got to see tons of you at Phoenix Comicon this past weekend! The con was great and I had a blast. There's a big PCC update to come, but I was "gone" a week and we know what that means, don't we? Right, it means a lot of update going on. So let's get to it!

First off, the yap is indeed large and in charge over at I Smell Sheep with an interview from the floor of Phoenix Comicon. Plus you can enter to win a signed, personalized copy of either Alien Tango, Alien in the Family, Alien Proliferation, or Alien Diplomacy, plus a set of cover magnets, cover postcards, and signed flyers. Contest ends June 3rd, open internationally.

Next up, head right on over to Book Monster Reviews where a full series recap AND the latest Top 10 List is up -- things you NEED to know about Kitty and Martini. And, shocking no one by now (at least, I hope not) you can enter to win a signed, personalized copy of either Alien Tango, Alien in the Family, or Alien Proliferation, plus a set of cover magnets, cover postcards, and signed flyers. Contest ends June 1st, open internationally.
Next up, let's hit some reviews. See what Jackie at Wicked Little Pixie and Bibliognome thought of Alien in the House, then see what Dog-Eared Pages thought of Alexander Outland: Space Pirate by G.J. Koch (yes, that's moi).

Haven't started Alien in the House yet? Check out the Sentence Sneak Peek over at Bibliognome. Have and want to chat about it? Share in the discussion over at DAW Books Review. Then finish up by checking out Gizmo's Reviews Top 10 Favorite Kick-Ass Heroines, and some of the recent fave reads from My 5 Monkeys.

That's it for today, and while more's on the way, since I'll be at Arizona Dreamin' this weekend, more probably won't be coming until next week. So enjoy the downward slide towards the weekend, have a great weekend when it gets here, I'll see some of you at AZD, and let's be readers out there! Peace out my li'l gangstas, and I'll catch you on the flip side!

Love,
Gini

Bitten by Aliens

Hey there! We've got a short, sweet, but action-packed one for you today, so let's get rolling!

Well, first off and as promised, today's the day over at Bitten By Books, where we're celebrating the release of Alien in the House. You can chat with me, check out the Top 10 Reasons to Read the Alien Series, and enter to...wait for it...win a book! I know! What were the odds?

This time you can win any of the books in the back list (Touched by an Alien, Alien Tango, Alien in the Family, Alien Proliferation, Alien Diplomacy, or Alien vs. Alien), signed and personalized, along with a set of cover magnets, cover postcards, and signed flyers. Open internationally. You can also enter to win below, via the Rafflecopter form.

After you've entered to win over at BBB, head on over to It's Comic Book Day and check out my May column (which, like everything else for me this month) went up a little late.

Then check out what Bibliognome felt were her favorite lines out of Alien in the House.

That's it for today, and since Phoenix Comicon is on the way, probably it for this week. So, see some of you at the con, hope all of you have wonderful weeks and fabulous weekends, Happy Memorial Day to all, and let's be readers out there! Peace out, my lil' gangstas, and I'll catch you on the flip side!

Buckeye Friday

Happy Friday! Well, it may be the end of the week, but as my Hook Me Up! subscribers already know, it's not the end of the many ways to win! So, let's get to it without further delay, shall we? We shall.

Head over to A Buckeye Girl Reads and check out The Top 10 ways to tell if your best friend is a super spy. There's a giveaway, natch, where you can win your choice of Alien Tango, Alien in the Family, or Alien Proliferation, signed & personalized, with a set of cover magnets, cover postcards, and signed flyers. Open internationally.

Then head over to Silk Screen Views and see what they thought of Alien in the Family and Alien Proliferation. While you're there, remember that The Alien Contest is still going on so don't miss out on your chance to enter to win.

Speaking of winning, Kitty still needs your votes for the Supernatural Smackdown over at Dark Faerie Tales. The voting ENDS TODAY, so please get your votes in. The contest for 4 copies of Alien in the House and 1 copy of winner's choice plus swag continues through May 28, though, so don't miss out on getting entered there, either!

Yapping About Silken Sheep's Houses

It's another short and sweet one today, but, trust me, it's action-packed. It wouldn't be the week after Alien in the House's release and the week before Phoenix Comicon without more yap and more winning, now, would it? You read that right -- as my Hook Me Up! subscribers already know, there's MORE WINNING on the way. So let's get to it!

First off, head over to Silk Screen Views and check out a brand new interview with moi. While you're there, enter The Alien Contest and you could win your choice of Alien Tango, Alien in the Family, or Alien Proliferation, signed and personalized, along with a set of cover magnets, cover postcards, and signed flyers. Open internationally.

Next, head off to I Smell Sheep to find out the Top 10 Ways to Tell if Your Boyfriend is an Alien. Is there a giveaway? Of course there is! Winner's choice of Alien Tango, Alien in the Family, Alien Proliferation, or Alien Diplomacy, signed and personalized, along with a set of cover magnets, cover postcards, and signed flyers. Open internationally.

That's it for today, but never fear, more's on the way. So enjoy the downward slide to the weekend, and let's be winning readers out there!

Carnival House

Happy Pre-Weekend! I'm about to head off to San Diego to participate in the Mysterious Galaxy 20th Birthday Bash. Check out some of the other authors who'll be there with me on Saturday, May 11th via U-T San Diego.

Speaking of book signings, last night's signing at The Poisoned Pen was great, and love and thanks to so many of the Alien Collective who joined me in person and online. (And who stuck through the online technical difficulties!) Part of the signing is up for viewing over at the Poisoned Pen LiveStream page. So check it out and see part of what you missed!

Lest you think I'm leaving you for the weekend with nothing to do, fear not! Paranormal Haven is having their Spring Carnival event, so head over to see what Kitty and Company would do at a carnival. There's also a chance to win a signed, personalized copy of either Alien Tango, Alien in the Family, or Alien Proliferation.

That's it for today, but as always, more's on the way. So, see some of you this weekend, everyone have a fabulous weekend whether you're seeing the me or not, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all the moms out there, and don't forget to get Mom a copy of Alien in the House 'cause she deserves it! Peace out my li'l gangstas, and I'll catch you on the flip side!

Tonight's my signing at The Poisoned Pen from 7-8:30pm. Hope to see many of you there -- it should be a blast!

Anticipating a House Call

Happy Monday!

Well, Alien in the House releases tomorrow and I'm all a'flutter. Well, okay, I'm really working on finishing Alien Research (al...most...there...) and getting ready for my book signing at The Poisoned Pen  in Scottsdale, AZ on Wednesday, May 8th at 7pm, and then for the Mysterious Galaxy 20th Birthday Bash in San Diego, CA on Saturday, May 11th, all day. But in between that? Fluttering.

So let's flutter together, shall we? Speaking of The Poisoned Pen and Mysterious Galaxy, guess who made it onto CNN's Best Brick and Mortar Indie Bookstores list? That's right! Mega congrats to two great bookstores who love books, readers, and authors!

Now, let's check out some reviews. See what A Buckeye Girl Reads, Feeling Fictional, and Book Girl of Mur-y-Castell all thought of Alien in the House. Then see what KD Did It Takes on Books thought of Alien vs. Alien.

Next, head over to Larissa's Bookish Life and see which series she feels has the best villains. Then, speaking of the Mysterious Galaxy Bday Bash, check out some interesting musings from one of the other awesome authors that will be there, Jeff Mariotte. And finish up over at The Galaxy Express to check out all the May SFR releases, and at DAW Books Review to check out all of DAW's May releases!

Remember that I'll be at Phoenix Comicon over Memorial Day Weekend, and it's packed with things to do. I'm in the Exhibit Hall, Booth 2512, I'm on tons of panels every day from Thursday, May 23rd through Sunday, May 26th, and I've even got an Author Spotlight on Sunday, May 26th, from 3-4pm, so definitely make your plans to be there!

And right after Phoenix Comicon is Arizona Dreamin'. There are only two tickets left to this 20-author event, so if you're thinking of attending -- and really, what's to think about? It's gonna be awesome! -- act fast!

That's it for today, but more's on the way. So get ready to get Alien in the House into YOUR house TOMORROW! Peace out, my li'l gangstas, and I'll catch you on the flip side!

Love,
Gini

Humping in the House

Hope everyone's had a great week so far! I'm still working on Alien Research (Almost done! Almost done! Ahahahahahaha, I'm almost done! *cough* Sorry...), but there's lots going on, so have to catch all y'all up!

First up, Alien in the House releases next Tuesday! And, just so you know, pre-orders still matter. Right up until the day before they matter. (After that they're, um, just orders, that also matter a heck of a lot.) So, if you haven't yet pre-ordered your copy, do your girl a solid and rectify that today.

And, just to give you some incentive, check out Deathless Prose where the opener and first chapter of Alien in the House are live on the scene. Then head over to My Bookish Ways for a full listing of May's releases. And The Brainpan is also promoting Alien in the House. It's a block party!

After that, let's check out some reviews. First up, see what Larissa's Bookish Life thinks of Alien in the House. Then see what the DAW Books Review thinks of Alien Diplomacy, and what Ohhh My Shelves and a different reviewer at Silk Screen Views thought of Touched by an Alien.

Some interesting writer-type stuff that's come down my particular pike includes a piece from Writer Unboxed about what not to do when beginning a novel, and includes thoughts from my awesome agent. And Slate shares the Strange Horizons report on women in SF/F. Not sure I agree with them -- what's your take?

I still haven't seen G.I. Joe: Retribution yet, because I'm still on deadline. But that's my first must-see movie the moment Alien Research goes to my awesome editor. And, as for why, I give you this from Pinterest.

For those of you in the Greater Phoenix Metro Area, I'll be doing a Short Story Workshop this Saturday, May 4th, at the Queen Creek Library and I'll be signing Alien in the House at The Poisoned Pen on Wednesday, May 8th, the day after release day.

Right after that, I head to San Diego for the Mysterious Galaxy 20th Birthday Bash. My official time is from 11am-12pm, but I'll be there from 10am to close, so if you're in Southern California, come on by!

After that, it's two great cons back to back. First up will be Phoenix Comicon from May 23-26 and then Arizona Dreamin' from May 31-June 2. Hope to see many of you at both!

I'll be bounding all over the interwebs in the next few weeks as well, and there will be much running of the yap and many giveaways in my wake. I'll also be one of the many authors over at Angels of Retribution talking about character names.

That's it for today, but as always, more's on the way. So enjoy the downward slide to the weekend and let's be readers out there! Peace out, my li'l gangstas, and I'll catch you on the flip side!

Love,
Gini
